You Can't Hurt Me

Only I can hurt myself….each hurt a failure to notice the pricks…

The hurt comes from me, when I don’t heed life’s tricks

It is me who has hurt the psyche most pleasant to me.

The hurt I allowed, has caged up the free.

You can’t hurt me, no, that’s just me finding blame.

Your image posing hurt that I am sure to obtain.

It is I who has built a hurt around love, and so, didn’t allow love to ensue

The hurt is my fear, and I tossed it on you

No, no no…this hurt will not do.
